The Radiology Book Project
Dear potential author,
We are working on an international book project published by a major publisher. For confidentiality reasons, we cannot tell you at this point which publisher, but it is one of the following four: Springer, Elsevier, McGraw-Hill, Thieme.
This project is a book series, that covers all Radiology subspecialties and will be subdivided into separate books - one for each subspecialty. We will accept up to 3 authors for each subspecialty book.
This book series won't be a classic textbook but rather a case review series for Radiology - similar as the case review series from another major publisher. We will however introduce a new revolutionary concept by cross-referring all cases to interactive online cases, where the reader will be able to scroll the image stacks, window/level and do other functions similar as on the radiologist's workstation. These features have been adapted from our partnering interactive Journal of Radiology Case Reports which enjoys great popularity because of these unique features. This series will be divided by sections (e.g. neuro, GI/GU, peds etc.) for each section one book. This will NOT be a textbook. These will be "rapid fire" case review with pertinent images and high yield information for the appropriate entity. Thus, this will be a fairly minimal amount of work for the author compared to elaborate textbooks. We provide more details about requirements and editorial process in our dedicated Author group. How to join the author group and read more information can be found in our small tutorial at the bottom of this page.
This book project is a worldwide endeavor and in collaboration with the international Radiology community Radiolopolis and the interactive Journal of Radiology Case Reports it will be a ground breaking publication and lever Radiology literature into a new dimension!
I thank you in the name of the entire editorial team and the publisher.
Roland Talanow, MD, PhD
